Troubleshooting

  1. When I press a button on the control panel, nothing happens.
    1. Make sure Child Lock is turned off by pressing the control panel lock icon for 3 seconds.
    2. Make sure your Airetrex is connected to power and turned on.
    3. Unplug your Airetrex unit, wait 60 seconds and restart it.
  2. My unit is making a whistling sound.
    1. Check the unit’s filter, which is located on the back panel.
    2. Remove any visible blockages.
    3. If cleaning does not resolve the issue, remove the back panel and replace the charcoal filter here.
  3. The unit is on, but the bulb doesn’t illuminate.
    1. Make sure the bulb is properly connected inside the unit. There is a 45-second delay from when the unit is first turned on to when the bulb activates.
    2. Replace the UV-C bulb here.
  4. I don’t know how to replace the UV bulb in my Airetrex.
    1. Watch a tutorial video for replacing the UV bulb
    2. Disconnect your Airetrex unit from power and wait 15 minutes.
    3. Place the unit face-down. The filter cover should be facing upward.
    4. Using a Phillips Head screwdriver, remove the five screws along the left side of the unit.
    5. Slide the left side panel toward you, exposing the bulb harness.
    6. Unscrew the four screws on the revealed aluminum cover panel. Slide up to remove. Note: Do not remove the black plastic cover.
    7. Remove the two anchor screws and gently pull out the bulb harness and base.
    8. Remove the bulb from its harness and replace it with a new one, ensuring that the four connection prongs are aligned before pushing it in.
    9. Align the harness with the internal base holder and secure it in place with the screws removed in Step 6.
    10. Replace the cover panel and secure it in place with the screws removed in Step 5.
    11. Replace the outer side panel and secure it in place with the screws removed in Step 3.
  5. Where to buy the UV BULB?

  6. I don’t know how to replace the filter in my Airetrex.
    1. Disconnect your Airetrex unit from power and wait 15 minutes.
    2. Remove the 4 thumb screws on the filter cover panel.
    3. Remove the filter and dispose accordingly.
    4. Using a damp cloth, wipe down the filter opening and filter bracket.
    5. Install a replacement filter into the bracket.
      Resecure the 4 thumb screws.
